m.a+ is an Italian clothing, accessories and footwear brand based outside of Rome. Founded by Maurizio Amadei in 2005, m.a+ is known for a minimal and avant-garde style.
Maurizio is an exceptional leather worker. His innovative designs use as few cuts and stitches as possible. m.a+ handbags often feature a unique folding style, such as the iconic Shell bag which is crafted from a single piece of leather without a single stitch.
After studying art, Maurizio lived in London and then moved to Perugia to join Maurizio Altieri’s label Carpe Diem along with Luca Laurini and Sara Lanzi in the late 1990s. Later, Maurizio returned to Rome to launch his own line m.a+, beginning at first with accessories and expanding to offer clothing and footwear.
Maurizio seeks out high quality fabric from Japan and beyond for all of his designs. m.a+ clothing is known for slim silhouettes, many created with one-piece construction, and often feature handmade silver buttons. All m.a+ pieces feature the signature cross (+) motif somewhere in the design.
