‘S Max Mara

Max Mara is an Italian fashion house with a deep love of tailoring and a long family history in the tradition. In 1951, Achille Maramotti—who came from a family of artisans and patternmakers—founded Confezioni Maramotti with a camel coat and a red suit.
As the brand evolved, they shortened their name to Max Mara and added the more than 30 labels that now make up the Max Mara Group.Still a family company, Max Mara is run by Achille’s children Luigi, Ignazio and Ludovica with women’s ready-to-wear as their primary focus, “their lighthouse”. At the helm on the creative side is English designer Ian Griffiths, who after studying fashion at the Royal College of Art, won a student competition to work at Max Mara in 1987 and has been with the company ever since.
Designed for easy living, ‘S Max Mara is a contemporary and relaxed offshoot of the traditional Max Mara brand with a focus on innovative materials, exceptional details and classic shapes.
