Dries Van Noten
Antwerp, Belgium
Now helmed by creative director Julian Klausner, a longtime member of the Dries Van Noten creative team, Julian Klausner describes Dries Van Noten as an emblem of “the richness of life’s textures, where each garment tells a story of individuality.”
The 33-year-old Belgian designer, who has worked alongside Dries Van Noten on the women’s collections since 2018, represents a natural connection between the fashion house’s past and future. Dries Van Noten communicated his confidence in Julian’s creativity and vision, sharing “He is not only a talented designer but also a clear choice to take over after my departure. His deep understanding of the brand and its values will ensure a seamless transition and a bright future.”
Dries Van Noten’s legacy, carried on by Julian Klausner, is that of a designer constantly inspired by the depth and richness the world has to offer. Born and raised in Antwerp, Belgium, Dries showed his first collection in 1986 during London’s fashion week, along with five other designers in a collective now known as the Antwerp Six. For nearly four decades, Dries nimbly blended ancient and modern styles while mixing a sense of humility into his operatic designs.
