Munnu The Gem Palace

Jaipur, India

Munnu The Gem Palace’s history spans nine generations of the Kasliwal family—from Agra, where the family originated—to Jaipur, India where they are now based. Masters of the traditional Indian techniques of Kundan setting and Meenakari enameling, the Kasliwal family designs with the core tenet of “though we may come and go, jewelry remains forever” to create stunning, elaborate pieces of jewelry that inspire awe.

The ancient art of enameling was brought to India by the Persians in the 17th Century. This form of surface decoration is created by etching a design into gold, applying powdered glass pigments, and later fired in a kiln. Siddharth Kasliwal says of the family-run business “enameling is what made our family what it is, and it’s where true craftsmanship likes.” Munnu The Gem Palace works with skilled craftspeople, many of whom have been with the family for generations.
