Daniel Andresen
Antwerp, Belgium
Daniel Andresen explores the tactile merit of cloth. His line of knitwear seeks to mark the joy found in individualism. Each garment is crafted by diligent hands in the Antwerp atelier from natural materials—wool, cashmere, silk, sheer cotton and rugged linen.
Born in Germany, Daniel studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. He got his start working for Haider Ackermann, a French designer recently named the Creative Director at Tom Ford, and Hilde Frunt, a Belgian fashion designer specializing in knitwear.
Every element in a Daniel Andresen sweater is considered, from the composition of the thread and weave to the silhouette of the finished garment. The collection is loosely tailored and informally casual. Daniel believes that “once appreciated, a garment becomes part of you, morphing into time and space.”
