Elam
Paris, France
Elam believes an object inherits the energy from which it is created. Their notebooks are individually bound using hand printed Japanese washi and deckled, acid-free paper crafted by the Fabriano family in Italy (whose craft dates back to the 13th century). The base paper is made from Japanese kozo fibers. These come from a self-regenerating plant so the environmental footprint of the books is minimal – an ideal in line with Italian and Japanese ancestral techniques.
