Aboubakar Fofana is a multidisciplinary artist and designer, who specializes in textiles and natural dyes. Born in Mali and raised in France, Aboubakar is committed to preserving and reinterpreting centuries-old West African dyeing techniques. His work with textiles is the culmination of decades worth of work, and his effort put forth in learning to create in harmony with the world. The organic materials he uses as well as their limitations and innate qualities inform every aspect of his work.
