Common Projects
Ten gold numbers along the heel, indicating style, size and color, are the only signifier of the collaborative brand Common Projects. Started by Flavio Girolami and Prathan Poopat in 2004, the original “Achilles” shoe was a project to deconstruct the sneaker and build a better, simpler utilitarian shoe, inspired by the lines of everyday objects “that just do what they’re supposed to do.”
Refined form and clean design creates a blank canvas—one that is made in Italy with the highest quality leather and techniques. Common Projects’ minimalistic sneaker has received appreciation from streetwear and high fashion enthusiasts alike. Approachable in style and realistic in comfort, the sneakers are a staple in everyday wear and use, while remaining sleek and tailored. Being at the forefront of high-end sneaker design, Prathan and Flavio have continued to design shoes that stay true to their intention: exceptional construction with understated sophistication.
