Sabina Savage Silk Twill Pheasant Tree Scarf in Damson/Gold
Sabina Savage takes inspiration from all over the world as she creates extraordinary narratives that tell imaginative and detailed stories about the lives of animals both great and small. The Sultan's Soldiers focuses on Tipu Sultan, otherwise known as the Tiger of Mysore, who is facing the Colonial British as they wage battle on his Jeweled Kingdom. The illustrations also cite the work of Rudyard Kipling, ancient animal fables of the Indian Pachantantra, and contain references to elements of true tales from Tipu Sultan.
"Soaring above the treetops to the Kirshna River in the north, the pheasants carry Tipu's ornate weaponry and sing rally cries to their peers. The tree of life below them hums with activity, as their comrades await the command." - Sabina Savage, The Sultan's Soldiers
