John and Suzan Wertime ran an East Asian rug and textile art business in Fairlington, Virginia which provided exceptional antique pieces to private collectors, museums and dealers. An internationally renowned scholar, John wrote extensively on textile arts, publishing articles in magazines such as Hali and authoring several books and catalogs, including Sumak Bags of Northwest Persia & Transcaucasia. John also curated exhibits at the Textile Museum in Washington, D.C. and lectured widely at museums, universities and conferences.
