Arts & Science
TOKYO, JAPAN
At the heart of Arts & Science is the pursuit of balance — between beauty and practicality, aesthetics and functionality, art and science. Every item is designed for daily life: considered, understated, and made to endure. Collections are developed and produced in Japan through close collaboration with skilled artisans and small workshops, ensuring meticulous craftsmanship at a human scale.
Christian Peau
KOBE, JAPAN
Since 2002, Junji Koike has created a brand that is almost contradictory in nature — raw yet polished, artisanal yet avant-garde. Distinguished by exceptional leather treatments and butter-soft finishes, he draws upon the crafting traditions of 18th century Europe in both handbag and clothing collections.
Noguchi Bijoux
TOKYO, JAPAN
Noguchi Bijoux pieces have a delicate old world antique feel to them. Often set with inlaid diamonds, the gold jewelry has a soft glow and lived-in texture. After experimenting with different golds, Naohiko found his ideal in unique 14k yellow and white gold alloys which he prizes for their atmosphere.
Kaval
TOCHIGI, JAPAN
Japanese arthouse Kaval was founded in 2013. Their collections are an intimate showcase of true artisanal handcraft honoring the textile traditions of Japan while bringing modern wearers peace, ease and comfort through dressing.
Suzusan
ARIMATSU, JAPAN
The roots of the Suzusan label lie in the Japanese town of Arimatsu, where the Murase family has been refining textiles with the traditional shibori technique for over 100 years. Shibori is a traditional Japanese textile finishing technique that has been used in the country for over 400 years and involves refining fabrics through extremely intricate handwork.
Cottle
KOJIMA, JAPAN
Established in 2015 by Toshiaki and Yukari Watanabe, Cottle is built on the rich heritage of the Japanese textile industry. Operating from a renovated 130-year-old textile factory in Kojima — in the same historic district where the first Japanese jeans were produced — Cottle’s ethos reflects an intrinsically Japanese sense of season and aesthetics, informed by an exceptional culture of craft.
