An artist and metalsmith among many other talents, Lola Brooks studied fashion at Pratt Institute. She soon found herself drawn to the opportunities that jewelry presented, and obtained her BFA in metal from SUNY New Paltz. She is inspired by the meaning of particular stones and the role jewelry plays as a cultural signifier.
