Himalayan Cashmere
Kathmandu, Nepal
In 1995 Susan Snyder moved to Kathmandu and founded Himalayan Cashmere, in the hopes of preserving the tradition of a vanishing art. She worked alongside local craftsmen to set a new standard for artisan manufacturing in Nepal. Each aspect of the production process is completed by hand – using plant-based dyes and hand-spun yarn on wooden pedal-driven looms.
