Founded by Peter Kamienieki, the company’s aim is to enhance every wardrobe for any lifestyle, providing clothing for you to start your day with ease and comfort. They believe the ritual of dressing should be a simple joy, free of complication.

Peter entered the clothing industry 35 years ago with a part time job selling designer jeans after school. His career has given him a window to every aspect of the industry—from retail to wholesale to merchandising. Peter worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including MaxMara, Giorgio Armani and, most recently, Donna Karan’s Urban Zen. His experience working with these global brands has given him a unique look at the craft of fashion while allowing him to keep in mind the everyday needs of consumers. It’s that potent combination of experience and mindfulness that’s equipped him to create GRP1 Knits, a collection designed to meet and exceed clients’ expectations.

The company's foundation is a belief in the obligation to adhere to more responsible methods of production. GRP1 Knits is based in Los Angeles as a commitment to American manufacturing and local creative design. To support their growing sustainable effort, they package their collection in recyclable and/or recycled materials and have eliminated the use of plastic from their design and manufacturing process.
