Greg Lauren
Designer Greg Lauren launched his eponymous line in 2011. Each collection is produced by hand in his studio in Los Angeles. He experiments with deconstructing classic silhouettes and reimagining them out of vintage fabrics. After graduating from Princeton in 1991 with a degree in Art History, Greg moved out west to L.A. to pursue film and painting. Today, Greg approaches designing like he paints, with a sense of spontaneity and an intention to question the rules.
Vintage kimono silk, boro, vintage occupational fabrics, and West African indigo are all creatively pieced into Greg’s imaginative designs. Made one at a time, great care is taken in every detail. Only between 3 to 50 pieces of each look are produced and each piece goes straight from his studio to just a few stores around the world.
