Karen Melfi specializes in creating jewelry with polished, cubed and faceted diamonds in naturally colored earth tones. Each are strung variously with gold details and clasps to create dynamic and distinct necklaces that bridge the gap between day and night, casual and formal, with ease and great style. Her neckwear is often inspired by her interest in found objects and the simple, elegant lines of Japanese design. Although the beadwork seems simple at first glance, each bead varies slightly, and the contrast between cylinder and cube shaped beads creates an interesting texture along with the hand knotted cord.
