Since 2002, Junji Koike has created a brand that is almost contradictory in nature — raw yet polished, artisanal yet avant-garde. Implementing a range of leathers of the finest quality, including snake and alligator, all are CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) certified. Junji Koike is committed to exploring leathers alternative to cowhide as an environmental choice, so as not to support over-farming and further proliferate methane emissions. Using 1950s repurposed silks from Japan and specialty fabrics, Christian Peau reinterprets classical silhouettes from a decidedly invigorating, contemporary standpoint.

The leather used for these goods have been worked by craftsmen and finished by hand. Christian Peau's artisans select each article carefully, and some "irregularities" in shading or color may occur as these are the natural features of the leather. Please avoid liquids such as water, rain or sweat to prevent color fading.
