Faliero Sarti
Prato, Italy
Faliero Sarti established his eponymous business in 1949, just outside of Florence, Italy. Originally specializing in producing the finest quality knit fabrics and jersey, Faliero Sarti became a major partner with haute couture and prêt-à-porter houses all over the world. Today the brand is internationally known for their exquisite, finely woven and hand finished scarves made in the true tradition of the Italians.
Monica Sarti inherited her family’s creative genealogy of textiles, patterns and volumes reinvented on linen, silk and cashmere. As heir to this patrimony of research and creativity, she introduced scarves to the business with the idea of using noble fibers in a slightly deconstructed, less perfect and more accessible presentation. Monica’s scarves become canvases inspired by avant-garde painting and contemporary art.
Each Faliero Sarti scarf is made of natural fibers such as wool, cashmere, angora, silk and linen. The scarves maintain the legacy and spirit of the company’s origins: excellent quality garments but original, comfortable, recognizable and very stylish. Celebrated for their colorful prints and fantastical ombre dyes, Faliero Sarti scarves mix practical luxury with everyday wear.
