This Bastet's Bounty shirt features a graceful Egyptian Mau cat posing in an ornate shrine. The cat is surrounded by golden amulets, stone carvings, hieroglyphics and offerings from her earthly subjects. The design is enhanced by a border of carved golden animals and beaded tassels.
Reclining on her engraved plinth, the street dog embodies Anubis. She rests still as a statue while worshippers adorn her. A crook and flail are placed against her sides, while a celestial bed in the form of the goddess Hathor is laid at her feet. Painted stone panels create a temple shape to surround her. She will weigh hearts for levity, and guide souls in the afterlife.
