Mieko Mintz synthesizes rich textile traditions with modern aesthetics. In the case of Mieko’s jackets, the Kantha stitching is done by women in a small cooperative in West Bengal who take up to five months to create each piece. Each jacket Mieko designs is a true original with its reversible composition of beautiful prints.
