Medium Hand-Carved Turkana Honey Pot 

The primary use for these Turkana vessels – with their tall shape and fitted lids – would have been as honey pots. Beekeeping is an ancestral practice in Kenya. Traditional honeys have been harvested there for millennia, made by wild bees who feast on the abundant acacia and mangrove trees of the region.
