This pillow was created using a section of an antique Persian Malayer rug. Malayer rugs are traditionally handwoven using high-quality wool as pile over a cotton foundation. These rugs have a medium to high knot density, which allows for intricate patterns and motifs that the textiles are often celebrated for.
