This exquisite Peul bowl was hand-carved from indigenous wood by the Fulani people of West Africa. Peul bowls often feature distinct "dimpled" details, creating a tactile finish. Increasingly rare to source, authentic vintage Peul bowls function as both decorative objects and functional vessels for the home. Each bowl would have been used to prepare and serve food or used for storage for many years, which in turn has created wonderful patina, wear and aging of the wood.

Vintage and antique objects have experienced a full life before making their way to our stores. A vintage item of exceptional quality should not be viewed as brand new, as it shows signs of a lifetime, or several, being used and appreciated by its original makers.
