Ellis Mhairi Cameron

Ellis Mhairi Cameron creates molten treasures inspired by her Scottish heritage from recycled gold and traceable diamonds. Growing up in the Highlands, Ellis fell in love with its history; the ancient buildings, the rugged seascape, and the many artifacts — parts of old swords, knives, rings, apothecary boxes and vessels — which she and her family have found buried in the earth. Ellis uses traditional techniques and hand skills, such as hand carving and casting, to give her pieces their signature erosive aesthetic. 

A Registered Fairtrade Goldsmith and an Ambassador of Fairtrade ​Gold, Ellis studied for a BA in Jewelry & Silversmithing at The Glasgow School of Art, before completing an MA in Jewelry Design at Central Saint Martins. In 2021, Ellis was awarded Young Jewellery Designer of the Year at the UK Jewellery Awards. Creating all of her jewelry by hand in her London studio with her dedicated team, her work has been featured in Vogue and Forbes. Ellis believes that jewelry should not be left only for special occasions, but worn and enjoyed every day, to eventually be passed down through the generations.
