Shobhan Porter Vintage Uzbek Embroidered Suzani Throw in Red
Suzani is a type of decorative & embroidered tribal textile. It has a silk fabric base with silk embroidery threads. Traditional Suzani design motifs include suns, moons, tulips, carnations, irises, leaves, vines, fruits, and occasionally fish and birds. The oldest survivng Suzanis are from the late 18th to early 19th centries.
