James & Tilla Waters Stoneware Small Bowl in Brown

Award winning studio potters, James and Tilla Waters, are based in Carmarthenshire, Wales, where they hand-make thrown tableware, using both stoneware and porcelain clay bodies. For this line, James & Tilla use a Tenmoku glazing process to achieve a highly glossy, deep maroon-to-black finish. In areas where the glaze is thinner, an iron-red crystallization breaks through and highlights the more contoured areas.
