Faye’s exhibit included furniture, clothing, and space. Some of her inspirations are England’s rich history of trades, handcraft, and the connection of a finished piece and the manual labor behind it. This connection is apparent as each piece of Toogood clothing, the collaborative line by Faye and Erica Toogood, is named after a specific trade, such as draughtsman, cheesemonger, and printer.

The garments are made from durable and hardworking textiles of cotton, ramie, and linen. The shapes are architecturally clean but also flow with realistic movement of daily life. It is a homage to a pastoral lifestyle reimagined in Faye’s modern, minimalist aesthetic of functionality, artisanal craft and material, and thoughtful emotion.
