Bounkhong Singavong designs garments rooted in Laotian folk art and inspired by Buddhism. His pieces are one of a kind, naturally dyed and handwoven on traditional looms. While living in the Laotian countryside, Bounkhong Singavong learned the ancestral knowledge of spinning and dyeing yarns and weaving textiles from hill tribes. He then started a small workshop with skilled women artisans in the capital city of Vientiane to revive these centuries-old weaving traditions by sharing them with a global audience.
