La Maison d’Alep works with Syrian craftsmen to refresh the shape of traditional objects while remaining faithful to ancestral techniques. Ancient Syrian handicrafts, including kilim weaving, glass blowing and copper work, are utilized to become contemporary objet d’arte in glassware, lighting and home fabrics.

The mouth blown recycled glass pieces originate in Damascus, where La Maison d’Alep continues to work with the same master glass blowers who maintain their craft in the face of myriad hardships of ongoing war. Glassware is made almost entirely without molds, mouth blown and then fired in a traditional oven. The colors are dyed within the glass, creating an intensity in colors that can vary slightly and may contain small irregularities.
