Astier de Villatte

Designer Profile - Astier de Villatte

Astier de Villatte has been renowned for their signature approach to handmade ceramics since 1996, following in the tradition of the great 18th and 19th century Parisian ceramic studios. Astier de Villatte handcrafts each of its signature ceramics, glassware and candles in an antique Bastille workshop in Paris, historically home to Napoleon Bonaparte's own silversmith. Each exquisite piece is one-of-a-kind. Successor to the famous Parisian ceramics manufacturers such as the illustrious Pont-aux-Choux, Astier de Villatte is now the one and only major studio to keep the tradition of artisanal ceramic production in Paris alive, with a team of twenty ceramicists. In 2008 a distinct addition was made to the output of Astier de Villatte in a collaboration with one of Takasago’s star perfumers, Françoise Caron, and her team of young perfumers. The result is a collection of an Eaux de Cologne, hand/body care products, home care products and our favorite: 33 scented vegetable-wax candles, each with a delicate scent that is never overpowering. Shop the range of luxury candles to bring warmth to your home interior. Delectable both unlit and burning, the candles are encased in effervescent glass pots as well as signature Astier de Villatte white ceramic goblets. Astier de Villatte scented products capture the spirit of inspirational places from around the world. Try any of their phenomenal home and body products to experience a cultivated journey across the globe. In our eyes, this makes Astier de Villatte one of the most interesting modern brands through their extraordinary skills to reinterpret techniques and aesthetics from the past by imbuing them with modern fragrances and composition for a truly curated experience like no other.
