Designer Profile - Rundholz

Rundholz is world-renowned for creating fashion that combines innovative designs, unconventional details, and experimental fabric treatments for a distinctly independent look.

The husband and wife duo behind the brand, Carsten and Lenka Rundholz, work together to present their distinctive and inspirational style every season. Rundholz began as Carsten started to design garments to reflect Lenka’s personal taste and strength. For over twenty years, ever since he started designing for his wife, Carsten has been challenging traditional notions of women's design. Today, their headquarters is housed in a modernized 200 year-old farmhouse in the Lower Rhine region of Germany.

The Rundholz Mainline collection, originally introduced in 1993, is the cornerstone of the three Rundholz lines, as it embodies the Rundholz perspective: nonconformity, experimental construction, and whimsical styling. It is the main dialect of their stylistic language. Rundholz Mainline is at the forefront of fashion, often sitting next to designers Rick Owens, Yohji Yamamoto, Maison Martin Margiela and others.
